Dear Parents and Carers,
It is with regret that I write to inform you that Purley Nursery School will no longer be running Holiday Playscheme with immediate effect and for the foreseeable future.
The Governors and Senior Leaders have taken this decision with a very heavy heart as we know how much our families and children both within our school and local community have valued this provision over many successful years of running it.
The decision has been made for many reasons. Primarily we have seen a fall in the numbers of children and families accessing the service and/or requiring less hours of care. This coupled with an increase in costs has made the scheme no longer viable for the school.
We did look at and consider many options that would enable us to continue the service but none of them proved to be suitable for the needs of the children and families or the school itself.
To help with this transition, please find below the details of some other local providers that run holiday clubs in the local area. There are many others also available and a simple google search will show them.
